Typically, Sinensis only uses the root. Angelica was a contestant in season 12 of America's Got Talent, where her performance of Rise Up (by Andra) got her to the auditions. Angelica's performance from Girl on Fire (Alicia Keys) in the Judge Cuts was deemed worthy by Chris Hardwick, a guest judge. She then went straight into the live shows. During the live shows she performed Clarity by Zedd in the quarterfinals, and Without You from David Guetta for her Semifinals performance. Angelica was able to make it to the Finals where she sang Symphony by Clean Bandit. She sang Stronger, along with Kelly Clarkson, and Kechi Okwuchi during the results. At the end of the day, she finished in second place and was the youngest runner up in the history of the show. Angelica Hale fell ill at age 4 with strep throat and pneumonia due to an infection brought on by bacteria. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston was able to place her on ECMO care for life-saving treatment. Her condition was a result of multiple organ dysfunction, including failure of her kidneys. It was then a routine of hemodialysis followed by peritoneal dilution. She finally returned home after an eighteen-day stay in the hospital from the point where she was close to death, and began the long road back to healthy. Her life had been forever changed. Angelica was being on dialysis for the past year and a half before she was finally ready to undergo the biggest surgery of her entire life: a transplant of the kidney. She would receive the donated kidney from her mom. In September 2013, Angelica and her mom underwent a successful kidney transplantation surgery at two amazing hospitals located close to each other-Emory University Hospital and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. Angelica Hale has been pursuing her goals of becoming famous since.
